Mizzou unlikely to sell football stadium naming rights before 2026 season
COLUMBIA, Mo. — A little more than three months after starting its search for a corporate partner and a little over three months away from the start of the 2026 college football season, the University of Missouri has not yet found a corporate buyer for the naming rights to its football stadium.
And while the search for a sponsor is ongoing, it’s at this point unlikely that MU’s Memorial Stadium will be introduced as anything different when the Tigers kick off Sept. 3 against Arkansas-Pine Bluff.

Worthy: Thank you to LSU and Will Wade for being so shady that everyone must take notice
Another coach might get the benefit of the doubt. Someone else might get to spin it that he’s taking things to a ridiculous level to point out the farcical nature of the larger system. By shining the spotlight on college basketball and making everyone take a hard look at the current climate, he’s forcing change.
However, LSU’s Will Wade isn’t that guy. His track record hardly presents him up as a champion of the greater good. He’s the coaching embodiment of a term popularized by late comedian and actor Charlie Murphy on “Chappelle’s Show.” Wade is the definition of a “habitual line stepper.”
