Photos: At Home with Cindy and Mark Warren in a high-rise Central West End condominium
Cindy and Mark Warren moved into a high-rise apartment in the Central West End neighborhood in 2021, where the T-shaped building allows for a 270-degree view of the surrounding neighborhoods and of downtown St. Louis.

The Graystone at 410 N. Newstead Ave. celebrates 100 years on May 17. The unique “T” layout affords a 270-degree exposure for each of 40 residences.
An imposing feature of the residence is a barrel vault ceiling hallway with recessed lighting, which continues straight from the entry foyer through the home. Separating the dining room and living room from the kitchen, the corridor carries on to the bedrooms.
A balcony offers an expansive view of downtown St. Louis in the distance.

New kitchen cabinet fronts and countertops were added by the Warrens. The kitchen opens to a sitting room that was once separated by a wall. When originally built in 1926 the sitting room was a bedroom. Two bookcases in the kitchen are filled with cookbooks. Immediately off the kitchen, sliding glass doors open to a balcony.
